Comprehensive Health Survey in selected Grama Panchayats (2020-22)

Particulars of inpatient medical care across public and private hospitals during the COVID-19 period in Kerala were examined to understand the pattern and determinants of inpatient medical care and the expenditure incurred under the project. The study found that a change in behaviour pattern was observed during this period, with reduced hospitalisation rates, a preference towards public hospitals, irrespective of their socioeconomic stratifiers, coupled with a reduction in out-of-pocket expenditure.
