
Sustainable Futures: A Tribal Hamlet-Based Study for Community Development’ Tribal Hamlets Wayanad (2024-25)
The project aims to develop a pedagogy to revive and mainstream indigenous knowledge systems in selected tribal hamlets of Wayanad in the backdrop of recurrent natural calamities in the district, devastating the economic, social, and ecological system. The project reviews the facets of Indigenous knowledge systems in the district and their significance to SDGs, community mapping of Indigenous knowledge systems, establishing stakeholder management systems and social learning processes to generate pedagogical knowledge, imparting sector and non-sector-specific skills to selected participants to become active leaders.
